Life as an adult begins when you stop misusing your rights on a regular basis. You now do it once in a while. When you start thinking more than you are talking. When you start using phrases like "Taking responsibility!!!" when you actually have a clue about what it means. When you stop getting pushed around and pushing people around. When you'd rather have few fun conversations rather than a hundred "Obligatory" ones, and yet you can talk to almost everybody you meet. When you don't despise the taste of humble pie. When you start accepting yourself and others. When you realise that everything you've been chasing is not really everything you want. When you accept that people are selfish and so are you. When you know what good friends are like, but you also know that good friends are fewer than you thought when you were 5. When you realise that the only hand that can pick you up is yours. That friends are the ones that hope for you and not necessarily those who will shepherd you through every cloudy mountain. And more often than not people surprise you pleasantly.
When you realise that a fourth of you is close to 25 years old, but three fourths is still only 5, and probably always will be, and yet you have to act more like your 25, because there are obvious advantages of being 25. When you realise that acceptance is more important than awareness, and that deeds are more important than words.
Awesome!
