The Journey !

Within the world of my mind,
there arent answers i cant find,
walking slowly from the boy i was, to the man i am,
a man that sees was once a boy, blind.

In the corners of my mind,
are a thousand things i left behind,
as i discover myself,
in a world that i've now defined.
I begin to understand who i am really am
and how different from my past i was meant to be.
walking out of those shadows, step by step
my thoughts bring light to the things i see.
As beams of pride show from all those eyes,
the ones that held my hand in lows and highs,
the ones who always had faith in me ....
that one day i would come to see,
that the boy i am isnt really ... the man i was meant to be ....
A sense of fulfillment reaches me ...

As i walk alone, discovered, free ...
I smile peacefully ...

Spaces

Spaces,

They creep into the fray,

And further,
We keep drifting away.

Harder,

We seem to try everyday

But life,
It just seems to have its way

Strangers we seem,
And maybe we are,
Still close to the heart,
Though, we are so far.

But then I realise
I can’t help it anymore
That I won’t give up
But Ill have to let go
The voids will remain,
Maybe we won’t let them show,
The pain will subside,
Even if it’s, slow.

As close as we were
All the times that we spent
Seem a little insignificant
For, it’s quite evident……..
What it means to u now
And how quickly things change
Time is so strange……….
It ticks away the day
That makes me go away.

I'd rather u remain a fading smile
Than the teardrop from my eye
Though I don’t seem to give up
To let go ill try.

The ambulance driver

There's a little white van, with a little red light,
and a man who stands tall in the darkest hour of the night…
Yet, he’s always out of mind, though never out of sight...

Little man, steering that all important wheel,
it's hard to tell how u must feel,

when your pulse is racing and speed doesn’t thrill,
racing between life and death, every day, every minute...
and when you get there how great you must feel…

I wonder whether what you go through is ever seen.
Are you ever thanked for being the ray of hope that most often yields?
Are you ever noticed, carrying the burden behind the scenes?
Sharing the pain in tough times, feeling what they feel,
unnoticed, anonymous, you’re a hero for real…

But all the helplessness when time doesn’t yield,
all the selfless, yet thankless, hours spent at the wheel,
all the sacrifice, it ends in a painful ordeal.
Shattered, but back for more, you’re a hero for real…
